Our Facility
Our training center is a “safe haven” for disabled veterans
Our training center is a “Safe Haven” for disabled veterans to come and train their own dogs to be service dogs. We treat the Vets, their families and their pets as members of our family and provide a calm, safe environment for everyone involved. Located in Gilbert, our large facility was designed to ensure there is ample space for our training program. All of the equipment needed to complete the fundamentals portion of our training program is available right inside our facility. No need to go outside into the Arizona heat!
Our facility simulates an actual home and allows us to train their dogs in a real-world environment. Opening and closing doors, turning on and off lights, and answering the telephone are all exercises that we accomplish in our facility. Our training center includes a full kitchen so we can train our veterans’ dogs to open and close a refrigerator door, a drawer or cabinet, or place items in a trash can. We have stairs, ramps and other obstacles available to train the dogs to safely assist disabled veterans with mobility. And finally, we even have a washer and dryer to teach the dogs how to retrieve the laundry.
Besides being a training center for service dogs, the facility also is a place for our veterans to feel safe. If they need to talk or a shoulder to lean on, one of our trained staff members will be there to listen.
